(More customer reviews)These panniers are stylish, low-priced, and the multiple pockets help organize things.They would be good for a commuter. However, I think they're poorly designed, even dangerous, for loaded touring where you have items like a tent or sleeping bag sitting between the panniers atop your rear rack. The problem is that there is nothing to prevent these items from pressing down on the panniers' quick release tab.One of my panniers fell off midway through my first ride.If a friend had been ridng behind me or if a car had been passing me, this could have been dangerous.In more than 30 years of using panniers, I had never had one fall off before. I will only use these panniers with them tied or bungied to the rack.I don't trust their attachment system when I am doing loaded touring with a tent, sleeping bag, and sleeping pad sitting lengthwise on the rear rack.I showed this design flaw to an engineer friend, who said, "whoever designed these panniers has obviously never done loaded touring."
